Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be collected by your driver guide and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha.
Day 2
Depart from Arusha in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of the ‘Elephant Playground’. Spend the day game driving in this beautiful park, stopping at one of the scenic picnic sites to enjoy your packed lunch. Late afternoon you make your way to your choice of accommodation located inside the park and enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast game drive on route out of the park and then head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit.
Day 4
A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts. Central Serengeti is home to a rich and diverse array of wildlife. Apart from the wildebeest and zebras involved in the Great Migration, you can find the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and various antelope species. The open plains make it easier to spot wildlife.
Day 5
After breakfast game drives en-route out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim where you collect a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim.
Day 6
Early morning transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater for game drives. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife including large populations of lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and flamingos, among many others. The diverse habitats within the crater provide an ideal environmentfor these species, and it is one of the best places in Africa to observe them in their natural setting Leave the crater late afternoon and return to your accommodation.
Day 7
After breakfast at the lodge, slowly begin the drive towards Arusha where you will be dropped off at Arusha Airport for your flight connection to your next safari/beach destination or drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight connection back home.
